Lemon Chicken & Asparagus Stir Fry

I love this recipe because for the most part there are no actual measurements. Each time I make it the flavors vary, which is honestly my favorite way to cook. This recipe is super simple - I rarely cook things that don’t have ingredients that I don’t keep around the house on the regular.

The first time I made this lemon chicken and asparagus stir fry I told Alec: “this is the best thing i’ve ever made” .. So yeah, it’s THAT good!

Lemon Chicken and Asparagus Stir Fry

A quick, healthy and delicious recipe serve with rice or noodles.

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium chicken breasts

  • 2 TBS olive oil (divided)

  • 2 TBS lemon juice

  • Lemon pepper

  • Garlic salt

  • 10-12 asparagus spears

  • 2 TBS teriyaki sauce or teriyaki marinade

  • 1 TSP minced garlic

  • Soy sauce

  • Salt and pepper


  1. Begin by cutting your chicken breasts into 1 inch pieces.

  2. Cook chicken in a medium pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Add a bit of lemon pepper and garlic salt - to taste.

  3. While chicken is cooking, cut ends off asparagus spears. Then cut into thirds.

  4. Once cooked, take out chicken and set it aside.

  5. Cook your cut asparagus spears in the remaining oil. Add an additional 1 tablespoon of oil along with 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and 1 tsp. minced garlic.

  6. Cook asparagus on medium for 6-8 minutes.

  7. Add chicken back to the asparagus along with the desired amount of soy sauce. Cook for an additional 4 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Eat alone or serve over rice or noodles.

    *I usually half this recipe and it makes the perfect amount for two people.
